PIPE ORGAN

ST. PAUL'S CHURCH, GEELONG

SPECIFICATION OF THE ORGAN

(1972)

The organ has three manuals, CC to C, 61 notes and two-and-half octaves of radiating and concave pedals, CCC to G, 32 notes. The Swell Organ is enclosed and the shutters controlled by a balanced Swell Pedal.

There are 44 Speaking Registers operated by drawstops and 18 tablets controlling the Couplers and Tremulants.

The console is detached and placed on the north side of the Nave opposite the Chamber which contains the Great, Swell and Pedal Organs respectively.

Wind is provided to the Reservoirs by three separate blowers at the following pressures: Great Organ 3”, Swell Organ 3½”, Choir Organ 2¾”, Pedal Organ 3½”, Trombas 6 ¼”.

There are three signal lights located above the Swell keys; the first indicates that the manual Trombas are drawn and the second that the single setter piston is unlocked and activated. The third light is operated by a push button in the front porch and can be used as a signal for any purpose.

Adjacent to the signal lights is a push button which controls the music illumination.
